How to check that nothing is uploaded
Every converter in this category claims local processing. Here is how to verify this one rather than take our word for it.
- Open your browser's developer tools and select the Network tab.
- Convert a photo. Watch the request list.
- You will see the page, the decoder, and some analytics scripts. What you will not see is your photo. No request carries it, because there is no server to send it to.
- For the stronger test: load this page, turn off your wifi, then convert. It still works, which is only possible because the conversion never needed a network.
To name them: Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which our host adds. They tell us which pages people arrive on and what breaks. None of them receives your images, because your images are never sent anywhere for anything to receive. We would rather name them than claim a purity the network tab would disprove.
